A Honduran citizen, wanted in connection with a May 2019 murder, has been extradited from Spain and arrived in Honduras on a recent Tuesday to face justice. The individual was arrested in Spain earlier this year.
Honduras' state power company Enee has launched a US$60 million project to modernize the 109MW Cañaveral-Río Lindo hydro complex. The overhaul aims to boost its capacity to 129MW through new turbine impellers, generators, and an advanced SCADA system. This initiative, supported by Japan's government, is set to enhance the country's renewable energy supply and extend the plant's operational life.
