The judicial decision means that sufficient evidence was presented by the Public Ministry to proceed with a formal investigation into Silva Palacios. He faces charges for his probable participation in crimes against health, specifically in the modality of possession with intent to sell cocaine, and for illegal possession of a weapon.

In the early days of 2026, federal security forces have reportedly captured 21 members of the criminal organization.
