Arrest and Charges Laid
NSW Police have charged a 31-year-old man with 32 counts of sexual intercourse without consent, along with charges of threatening to distribute intimate images without consent (DV) and failing to comply with a digital evidence access order direction. The charges follow an extensive investigation into alleged sexual assaults in the North Parramatta area of Sydney's west.
The man was arrested on Thursday, September 18, 2025, around 8:30 AM, after strike force detectives executed a search warrant at a home in North Parramatta. During the search, police seized a mobile phone and various documents, which are now undergoing forensic examination. He was subsequently taken to Parramatta Police Station where the charges were laid.
Details of the Investigation: Strike Force Diapur
The investigation, dubbed Strike Force Diapur, was established in April 2025 by officers attached to Parramatta Police Area Command. It commenced following reports of multiple alleged sexual assaults in the North Parramatta vicinity.
Police were informed that three women – one aged 29 and two aged 21 – were allegedly sexually assaulted by the 31-year-old man over a two-year period, specifically between April 2023 and April 2025. It is understood that the man met the alleged victims online, potentially through a dating application.
Court Appearance and Bail Refusal
Following his arrest and charging, the man was refused bail. He was scheduled to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Friday, September 19, 2025.
The NSW Police have reiterated their commitment to investigating such serious allegations and bringing offenders to justice, urging anyone who has been a victim of a similar crime to come forward.

32 counts is horrifying, but what about due process for the accused?

This case is truly horrific, and I hope justice is served swiftly for the victims. However, the details about meeting online remind us of the constant vigilance required in digital interactions, and the need for better education around consent.

It's a relief to see police taking these allegations seriously, especially given the number of counts. However, the emotional and psychological toll on the victims, regardless of the outcome, will be immense and long-lasting.
