On September 11, 2001, I was in pilot training. The terrorist attacks changed my life and revealed the fight of our generation. I served as a fighter pilot, flying combat missions. The lessons from that day and my service remain, reminding us that enemies are always watching. This guides my work in Congress, where terror threats remain real.
Current policies have created vulnerabilities. Dangerous individuals with terror ties have entered the country undetected. Terror threats have evolved, becoming technologically sophisticated. Terrorist organizations exploit technology to wage war.
I am leading legislation to combat these threats. Our national security depends on staying ahead of these threats. We must support leadership that prioritizes national security.
freedom demands vigilance. We must never forget that day and prevent such a tragedy from happening again.

I served too, and the lessons from 9/11 were about unity and compassion - not just perpetual combat.

This is a politician drumming up support for military spending. When does it end?

What is the cost of defense in terms of budget- does this really make us safer in the way the average person will see?
