Pakistan Inducts Chinese-Made Z-10ME Attack Helicopter to Modernize Defense Capabilities

The Pakistani military has welcomed the first export of the Z-10ME attack helicopter, produced by China, as part of its efforts to modernize its defense systems. Jiang Bin, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of National Defense, confirmed China's readiness to collaborate with friendly nations like Pakistan and emphasized that their defense and security partnership is not directed at any other countries, but focused on maintaining peace and stability in the region.

The induction ceremony for the Z-10ME was overseen by Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, at Multan Garrison, as reported by The News. Experts suggest that the Z-10ME, designed to enhance firepower and equipped with advanced features such as additional armor, warning sensors, and jamming systems, significantly improves the survivability of the helicopter compared to its predecessor, the baseline Z-10, which could bolster Pakistan's capabilities, especially in counter-terrorism operations. Zhang Xuefeng, a military analyst from China, highlighted that the Z-10ME stands out as one of the top medium-sized attack helicopters globally, demonstrating its comprehensive operational prowess.
