Ferrari Unveils 'Token Ferrari 499P' for Elite Collectors
Maranello, Italy – Ferrari is expanding its engagement with digital assets by introducing an exclusive crypto token, named 'Token Ferrari 499P,' designed for its most esteemed clientele. This initiative will grant members of the brand's elite Hyperclub the unique opportunity to participate in a private auction for a Le Mans-winning Ferrari 499P endurance car. The digital token is scheduled to launch with the commencement of the 2027 World Endurance Championship season.
Exclusive Access for Hyperclub Members
The 'Token Ferrari 499P' has been developed in collaboration with Italian fintech firm Conio. It will be exclusively available to the Hyperclub, an invite-only group comprising approximately 100 Ferrari collectors and enthusiasts with a keen interest in endurance racing. Members will not only be able to use the token to bid on the iconic 499P but also to trade it among themselves. This project, which began in March 2025, will see official token allocation in March 2027, with a personalized digital experience for each member starting in June 2026.
The Legacy of the Ferrari 499P
The centerpiece of this exclusive auction is the Ferrari 499P, an endurance car that has achieved significant success in motorsport. The 499P secured three consecutive victories at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Its inaugural win in 2023 marked Ferrari's return to the top class of Le Mans after half a century.
Ferrari's Evolving Digital Strategy
This new crypto token represents a further step in Ferrari's broader digital strategy. The luxury automaker previously began accepting cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDC for vehicle purchases in the United States in 2023, later extending this payment option to European buyers. According to Enrico Galliera, Ferrari's Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer, the initiative aims to 'strengthen the sense of belonging among our most loyal customers.' Conio, the fintech partner, is actively pursuing a license under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, underscoring a commitment to regulatory compliance in this evolving digital landscape. Conio has also developed a digital wallet, integrated into the MyFerrari app, for secure token custody and peer-to-peer transactions among Hyperclub members.

Creating a unique experience for Hyperclub members is clever for fostering loyalty. However, the extreme exclusivity could alienate the vast majority of Ferrari enthusiasts who dream of owning such a piece of history.

This is just a speculative bubble waiting to pop. Stick to engines.

It's interesting to see Ferrari adopting digital assets, but limiting it to such a tiny group feels more like a PR stunt than true innovation for the brand's broader appeal.

Ferrari always pushes boundaries! This is brilliant for their top clients.

Just another gimmick for the ultra-rich. Who cares about these tokens?

While the idea of exclusive access for loyal customers is good, linking it to crypto introduces volatility and complexity that might overshadow the actual value of the iconic car.

Digital ownership for a legendary car? Absolutely revolutionary.

Focus on making amazing cars, not digital tokens! This feels so unnecessary.

Embracing crypto for luxury assets is the future. Smart move, Ferrari!

The move towards digital engagement is forward-thinking for a luxury brand, yet one has to wonder if the environmental impact of crypto and its speculative nature align with Ferrari's core values.

Crypto is too volatile for something this valuable. Major risk involved.

Regulatory compliance is a positive step in the crypto space, which is good to see. Still, the fundamental question remains whether a digital token truly enhances the ownership experience of a physical masterpiece like the 499P, or just adds another layer of financial complexity.

This strengthens the brand's elite status and offers unique access. Love it!

More elitism from Ferrari. Completely out of touch with real fans.
