Lawrence Bishnoi's threats towards Salman Khan have escalated in recent weeks, raising serious alarm. The jailed gangster's animosity stems from an incident in 1998 when Salman Khan reportedly killed a Blackbuck, an animal that is sacred to the Bishnoi community. Bishnoi has demanded an apology from Khan but, having received none, he has further committed to his goal of having Khan killed.
Within the Bishnoi community, opinions are sharply divided. Devendra Vishnoi, the national president of the Akhil Bharatiya Bishnoi Mahasabha, voiced support for Bishnoi, emphasizing that the killing of a Blackbuck is a legal offense and a betrayal of their community's values. He expressed that the community has endured pain since the incident, asserting that Khan should formally apologize to relieve their suffering and restore peace.
Conversely, there are voices within the Bishnoi community that reject support for Lawrence Bishnoi's vendetta. Gurvinder Singh Bishnoi, president of Jodhpur’s Community for Wildlife and Rural Development, stated that they do not endorse anyone taking the law into their own hands, as the legal system is currently addressing the matter. He characterized Lawrence as a gangster whose actions do not represent the values of the Bishnoi community, claiming that he is merely exploiting his identity for his own agenda.
As this debate regarding justice versus revenge intensifies, law enforcement continues to investigate the complex situation involving Lawrence Bishnoi and Salman Khan.

The legal system is in place. Why should Khan apologize under threat?

I can't believe some people are okay with this kind of behavior. This isn't the Bishnoi way!

Khan needs to understand the seriousness of his actions and the hurt they caused. Apologize, Salman!

Let's use this opportunity for dialogue, not vendettas. That's how true change happens!

We should focus on reform and understanding, not on escalating threats and violence!

A gangster? Maybe. But he's also a symbol of a community that won't be silenced.

Killing Khan won’t bring back that Blackbuck. Can’t people see that revenge is not justice?

The community has suffered long enough. An apology from Khan could finally restore some peace.
