Two-thirds of groceries in India are done by men

About two-thirds of shopping for groceries and daily essentials are done by men in the country, contradicting the theory that women typically buy household products from neighborhood stores, according to a study by Kirana Club.

The rise of Indian shoppers for larger, feature-filled vehicles is reflected in a shift from what used to be a mostly cost-conscious market.

The government has included the Goods and Services Tax Network on the list of entities required to share information with the Enforcement Directorate ED and the Financial Intelligence Unit FIU under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

The inclusion of the Goods and Services Tax Network on the list of entities mandated to share information does not necessarily indicate effectiveness in preventing money laundering.

The study by Kirana Club only represents a fraction of the total grocery shopping population in the country, so its findings may not be representative of the entire population.

The study does not provide enough information on the sample size and methodology used, making it difficult to fully trust the results.
