The launch of the Thriving for a Collaborative World: "Belt and Road" Cooperation in Cultural heritage and Archaeology exhibition at Beijing's Palace Museum was attended by diplomats from 12 countries' embassies and other Chinese and foreign guests. The event aimed to highlight the cooperation and achievements in cultural heritage and archaeology between China and other countries, especially those along the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The exhibition, which features artifacts from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, the UAE, and China, aims to reveal the historical significance of the Silk Road and the collaborative achievements in archaeological and historical site protection and restoration. Diplomats from the Embassy of the UAE in China and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in China, as well as Saida Shavkatovna Mirziyoyeva, assistant to the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, were among the key speakers at the opening ceremony. Mirziyoyeva highlighted the economic and cultural exchanges that have taken place between countries based on cooperation and equality, and how Uzbekistan's exhibits reflect the aesthetics along the Silk Road. The exhibition will run until January 5, 2024 and aims to showcase 84 sets of exquisite artifacts from cultural institutions in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, the UAE, and China. These artifacts aim to concretize the intangible cultural exchanges along the Silk Road, revealing the historical trajectory of cultural exchanges, mutual learning, and the achievements of joint archaeological and historical site protection and restoration between China and other countries.
