Investigation Underway After Student's Death
A man has been arrested in connection with the suspicious death of Carla Georgescu, a 19-year-old student at the University of Lancashire. Ms. Georgescu was discovered deceased at her accommodation on Victoria Street, Preston, on the afternoon of Thursday, February 5, after police were called to reports of a 'sudden death'. Her death is currently being treated as suspicious by authorities.

Lancashire Constabulary confirmed the arrest of a 34-year-old man from Hartlepool on suspicion of murder. The individual was reportedly known to Ms. Georgescu and remains in custody.
