New Nonstop Routes Connect US Northeast to Anguilla
BermudAir is expanding its Caribbean network with the introduction of direct, seasonal flights to Anguilla from three major US cities. Operating under its new 'AnguillAir' brand, the airline will commence service to Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (AXA) from Baltimore (BWI), Boston (BOS), and Newark (EWR) between December 18 and 19, 2025.
The new routes mark a significant expansion for BermudAir, representing its first scheduled service beyond Bermuda into the wider Caribbean region.
Flight Schedule and Operations
The new services will operate on a seasonal basis, primarily during the winter months, extending through spring 2026. The flight schedules are as follows:
- Flights from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Anguilla (AXA) will begin on Thursday, December 18, 2025, operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays.
- Service from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to Anguilla (AXA) will launch on Friday, December 19, 2025, with flights scheduled twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- Flights from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) to Anguilla (AXA) will also begin on Friday, December 19, 2025, operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays.
BermudAir will utilize its fleet of Embraer E-Jets, including E175s and E190s, for these routes. The airline is known for its premium leisure travel experience, offering spacious cabins and enhanced in-flight amenities.
Boosting Anguilla's Tourism and Connectivity
This strategic expansion is anticipated to significantly boost tourism to Anguilla by providing direct access from key US markets. Historically, travelers to Anguilla often had to connect through hubs like St. Maarten or San Juan. The new nonstop flights aim to offer a smoother and more efficient journey for vacationers and locals alike.
Adam Scott, Founder and CEO of BermudAir, emphasized the airline's vision, stating, 'This is more than a new route—it's a reflection of what BermudAir was built to do: strengthen island connections, deliver extraordinary service, and create lasting economic value for Bermuda and beyond.'
Official Statements and Future Outlook
Anguillan officials have welcomed the new air service. The Honourable Jose Vanterpool, Anguilla's Minister of Infrastructure, remarked that the new service is a 'crucial first step' for the island's economic future and highlights the ongoing redevelopment of the Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport. The Honourable Cardigan Connor, Anguilla's Minister of Health, Sports, and Tourism, added that the direct flights from these strategic gateways are 'essential to maintaining momentum and further developing Anguilla as a premier destination.'
The introduction of AnguillAir represents BermudAir's commitment to offering convenient travel options to highly sought-after destinations and is seen as the beginning of a new chapter in the airline's long-term growth trajectory.

Direct flights mean more carbon emissions. Not ideal.

Hope Anguilla is ready for the crowds. Over-tourism risk.

Seasonal only? That's barely an expansion.

It's great to see new direct routes improving accessibility to Anguilla, especially from key US cities. However, the seasonal nature of these flights means year-round connectivity still relies on traditional hubs.

While direct flights are certainly convenient for tourists and good for Anguilla's economy, I hope they have a plan to manage the increased visitor numbers responsibly. Preserving the island's unique charm is crucial.
