Man Faces Multiple Charges After Incident
Cleston Adams, a 49-year-old man residing in South Hill, Anguilla, has been formally charged with three offenses following an altercation that occurred at The Strip. The charges include grievous bodily harm, being armed with an offensive weapon, and causing a breach of the peace. The incident, which took place on the evening of Friday, October 10, 2025, resulted in injuries to another individual.
Details of the Altercation and Victim's Condition
According to a press release issued by the Royal Anguilla Police Force (RAPF) on October 13, 2025, the altercation occurred at approximately 8:00 PM. The injured man was transported to a medical facility for treatment and was subsequently discharged. Police confirmed that while the injury sustained was serious, it was not considered life-threatening.
Court Appearance and Remand
Following investigations into the incident, Adams was arrested and charged. He appeared before the Magistrate's Court on October 13, 2025. During his appearance, bail was granted in the sum of EC$40,000 with one surety. However, Adams was unable to secure the required surety and was consequently remanded to His Majesty's Prison in The Valley, where he awaits further legal proceedings.
