A Texas woman, Liana Davis, has initiated a wrongful death lawsuit against a Marine identified as Christopher Cooprider, alleging he secretly drugged her drink with abortion pills to terminate her pregnancy. Filed in federal court, the lawsuit contends that Cooprider, who is stationed in Corpus Christi, tricked Davis into consuming hot chocolate that he had contaminated with the drugs he reportedly obtained from an online source called Aid Access.
According to the legal documents, Davis has provided evidence in the form of text messages that reveal an ongoing conversation about her pregnancy. Even before she confirmed her pregnancy with a test, Cooprider allegedly expressed a desire to end it, stating, “I would like to get rid of it.” Following her positive result, he reiterated his sentiments, further pressuring her to undergo an abortion, while Davis insisted on keeping the child.
The lawsuit notes Cooprider's intimidation tactics, including threats to involve himself in Davis's divorce proceedings from her abusive husband, attempting to manipulate her circumstances. Despite Davis's clear objections against procuring abortion medications, Cooprider is accused of purchasing these pharmaceuticals and presenting them during his visits to her home, causing her distress.
The situation escalated on April 5, when Cooprider suggested they have a "trust building night," and prepared hot chocolate for Davis at her home. Shortly after consuming the drink, Davis began to experience significant medical symptoms such as cramping and hemorrhaging. Although Cooprider initially offered to help transport her to the hospital, he subsequently cut off communication, leading Davis to seek assistance from a neighbor.
Tragically, Davis asserts that her unborn child, referred to as "Baby Joy" in the lawsuit, died approximately eight weeks into the pregnancy. The lawsuit also states that Davis discovered the box of abortion pills Cooprider had purchased contained a missing mifepristone pill. Consequently, Davis is pursuing legal action against Cooprider, Aid Access, and its founder Dr. Rebecca Gomperts, seeking damages for the pain and loss she has endured.

The premeditation is chilling. He knew what he was doing, and he did it anyway. I hope he faces the full extent of the law.

He disregarded her wishes and took her free will with his actions. She deserves justice! This happened in Texas, but could really happen anywhere!
