North Korea Launches Reconnaissance Satellite Malligyong-1

North Korea has initiated operations for its Malligyong-1 reconnaissance satellite, which was launched on November 21. The satellite's operating office in Pyongyang will function as an independent military intelligence organization. It will gather and provide information to the Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea and major military units as instructed. The country's defense ministry highlighted that this development would enhance North Korea's military readiness. Furthermore, North Korea has claimed to have shared satellite images, including those of U.S. bases in Japan and South Korea, with its leader Kim Jong Un. Some experts in South Korea have expressed skepticism about the satellite's imaging capabilities, suggesting that the resolution of the images could be low.

It's understandable for North Korea to have skepticism towards U.S. bases in Japan and South Korea.
