The event drew a distinguished audience, including former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former Governor Chief Olusegun Osoba, past military administrators, traditional rulers, and other prominent figures from the state. Addressing the gathering, Governor Dapo Abiodun highlighted the remarkable progress recorded by Ogun State since its creation on February 3, 1976. Governor Abiodun emphasized that Ogun State has emerged as one of Nigeria's fastest-growing economies, with an estimated value of ₦17 trillion, and is recognized as the second-largest economy in Nigeria after Lagos. He paid tribute to notable sons and daughters of the state, such as Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Professor Wole Soyinka, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, and Chief MKO Abiola, whose legacies laid a strong foundation for Ogun's development.
