Monaco Celebrates Three Decades of Entrepreneurial Excellence
Monaco's entrepreneurial spirit was on full display as the Junior Chamber International Monaco (JCI Monaco) hosted the 30th edition of its Business Creation Competition. The prestigious awards ceremony, held on Tuesday, December 3, 2025, at the Auditorium Rainier III, celebrated a new generation of innovators and honored the competition's enduring legacy under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II.
Since its inception in 1995, the competition has served as a vital launchpad for young entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 40, supporting them in establishing their ventures within the Principality.
Radio Chantier Takes Top Honors with AI Innovation
The coveted Government Prize, accompanied by a substantial award of €40,000, was presented to Radio Chantier. Founded by Cyril Cros and Alexandre Mattelon, this pioneering company impressed the jury with its artificial intelligence-driven platform designed to bridge the gap between on-site decision-making and overall project management in the construction sector.
The awards evening recognized several other groundbreaking projects:
- The JCI Monaco Prize of €21,000 was awarded to DataGreen, led by Julien Choukroun. This venture focuses on a sustainable solution for capturing and reusing energy emitted by data centers.
- Meuble Monaco, represented by Isobel Ridley, secured the Athos Partners Prize of €10,000 for its innovative online platform facilitating furniture resale and recycling for Monaco residents.
- The Jury's Special Award (Coup de Coeur) went to ClickMeal, founded by Alexia Montero and Guillaume Delachet, for their concept of connected refrigerators offering modern, local, and economical meal solutions for workplaces.
A Legacy of Support and Growth
To commemorate the 30th anniversary, JCI Monaco also introduced special honorary awards, recognizing three established businesses that have significantly contributed to Monaco's entrepreneurial landscape over the decades. DITO, A Domicile Monaco, and Carlo were celebrated, each representing a different decade of the competition's impactful history.
Beyond the financial incentives, all winners gain access to the 'Success Box,' a comprehensive support program. This package includes expert guidance from key partners such as Monaco Telecom, KPMG, the Monaco Economic Board, and Monaco Boost, designed to nurture the projects through their crucial first year of activity in the Principality.
Fostering Future Innovation
The Business Creation Competition continues to be a cornerstone of Monaco's economic development, fostering innovation and providing essential resources for aspiring business owners. The initiative underscores Monaco's commitment to supporting young entrepreneurs and strengthening its dynamic business ecosystem.

The competition clearly highlights some impressive ideas and talent. Yet, one has to question if the benefits truly trickle down to a broader segment of society, or if it primarily serves to enhance Monaco's image.

Monaco is already wealthy. This competition feels more like a spectacle than genuine support.

It's great to see support for innovation, especially with sustainable concepts like DataGreen. However, the high cost of living in Monaco still makes it challenging for many aspiring entrepreneurs to participate.

Is this really 'corporate responsibility' or just good PR for Monaco's elite?
