Tragic Explosion in Pesquería

A devastating explosion of illegally stored pyrotechnics in a residential home in Pesquería, Nuevo León, Mexico, on the night of Friday, November 28, 2025, has left at least one person dead and five others injured. Among the injured, a minor and a woman were transported to the Hospital General de Juárez, while another adult, reported to be in critical condition, received medical attention at Clinic 67 of the IMSS. Some reports indicated that two minors suffered third-degree burns.

The force of the explosion and subsequent fire caused extensive damage. At least four houses were severely affected, with one two-story residence reportedly collapsing completely. The impact of the blast was felt and caused damage to homes up to two blocks away from the epicenter.
