A devastating explosion of illegally stored pyrotechnics in a residential home in Pesquería, Nuevo León, Mexico, on the night of Friday, November 28, 2025, has left at least one person dead and five others injured. The incident, which occurred in the Colonia Los Olmos, specifically on Olmo Siberiano street, caused widespread panic and significant material damage to the surrounding area.

Neighbors reported that the affected domicile was suspected of being an illegal storage facility for fireworks, with continuous pyrotechnic detonations observed as fire consumed the property.

Casualties and Extensive Damage

Initial reports from Protección Civil de Nuevo León (PCNL) confirmed one fatality and five individuals sustaining injuries. Among the injured, a minor and a woman were transported to the Hospital General de Juárez, while another adult, reported to be in critical condition, received medical attention at Clinic 67 of the IMSS. Some reports indicated that two minors suffered third-degree burns.
