A Grand Opening for Culinary Enthusiasts
The 28th edition of Monte-Carlo Gastronomie officially opened its doors today, November 28, 2025, at the Chapiteau de Fontvieille in Monaco. This highly anticipated trade show, dedicated to authentic products and culinary traditions, will welcome visitors until December 1, 2025. Organized by Caroli Com, the event transforms a 2,500 m² space into a vibrant hub for gourmet delights, attracting food lovers and professionals alike.
Showcasing European Flavors and Artisanal Products
This year's Monte-Carlo Gastronomie brings together over 100 producers from across Europe, offering a diverse array of regional specialties, particularly from France and Italy. Attendees can explore and purchase a wide selection of high-quality products, including foie gras, truffles, caviar, chocolates, cheeses, cured meats, organic products, jams, wines, champagnes, and liqueurs. The focus remains on the 'quality and traceability of products,' as emphasized by Caroline Branger, the project manager.
Engaging Competitions and Charitable Initiatives
The event features a packed program of activities designed to engage and entertain. Daily culinary demonstrations by renowned chefs provide inspiration and practical tips. Key highlights include the 7th Maestro Chef Competition for amateur cooks, with its finale scheduled for November 30, and the 4th Maestro Kids Competition on December 1, where young chefs from Monaco's schools will creatively reinterpret 'French toast.'
A significant charitable component is the 3rd Charity Evening 'Soirée du Cœur,' held on November 28. This event supports the BE SAFE association, dedicated to fighting drunk driving, and features twenty chefs preparing gourmet bites. The evening is attended by Mademoiselle Camille Gottlieb, President of BE SAFE, with tickets priced at €150.
Awards and Practical Information
The trade show also hosts prestigious awards, including the Slow Food Monaco Riviera Côte d'Azur Awards and the Monte-Carlo Gastronomie Wine & Spirits Awards, overseen by Dominique Milardi, Honorary President of the Monegasque Association of Sommeliers.
Admission to Monte-Carlo Gastronomie is €5, with free entry for children under 12. Specific free entry periods are also available, such as from 12:00 to 14:00 on Friday and Monday, and from 19:00 to 21:00 on Friday and Saturday. The exhibition hours are from 10:00 to 21:00 on Friday and Saturday, 10:00 to 20:00 on Sunday, and 10:00 to 18:00 on Monday.

Bringing together so many producers is a wonderful cultural exchange, yet I wonder about the carbon footprint of importing all these specialty goods for a few days of exhibition.

All about luxury items, hardly accessible for the average person. Another elite event.

Supporting the BE SAFE association is a commendable effort from the event organizers. However, the article could have provided more details on how 'food safety' is actively managed throughout such a large-scale food festival.

They mention 'food safety' but it's really just a high-end product showcase.
Mariposa
Transporting goods from all over Europe seems environmentally questionable for a short festival.
