A devastating head-on collision occurred on Monday, November 24, 2025, in Vizzolo Predabissi, a municipality in the Milanese area of Italy. The accident, involving a van and a truck, resulted in the death of the 23-year-old van driver, identified as Nicolas Costa. The incident took place around 5:45 PM on a link road connecting the Via Emilia (SS9) to the provincial road for Sant'Angelo Lodigiano, also known as the 'bretella' parallel to the Teem highway.

Details of the Collision

Nicolas Costa, a resident of San Zenone al Lambro, was driving the van when it collided head-on with a truck. The impact was severe, trapping Costa within the wreckage of his vehicle. Emergency services, including firefighters from Lodi and Milan, responded to the scene. They utilized specialized equipment, such as an 'Unimog,' to extract the young man from the heavily damaged van. Despite their efforts and the prompt arrival of medical teams from the Croce Bianca of Melegnano and an automedica from Lodi, Costa was pronounced dead at the scene due to the critical injuries sustained.
