Minister Highlights India's Digital Inflection Point
New Delhi, India – Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, the Minister of State for Communications, addressed business leaders at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, held from October 8-11, 2025, at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi. During his address at the IMC 2025 Awards Ceremony, Dr. Pemmasani urged the Indian business community to champion the nation's economic transformation through innovation, collaboration, and purpose-driven leadership. The Minister outlined several key areas for businesses to focus on to achieve India's economic aspirations. He encouraged companies to embrace AI, invest significantly in R&D, and cultivate organizational cultures that celebrate experimentation. Dr. Pemmasani also highlighted the importance of collaboration with startups and providing mentorship to MSMEs, noting that the future 'belongs to ecosystems, not monopolies'. He stressed that corporate success must align with societal well-being, remarking that Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles are 'not a checkbox but the social contract of 21st-century business'.

The 9th edition of the India Mobile Congress 2025, organized jointly by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), carried the theme 'Innovate to Transform'. The event was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and served as a significant platform for showcasing advancements in telecom, media, and technology. Dr. Pemmasani congratulated the award recipients at the ceremony, describing their recognition as 'fuel for tomorrow' and an inspiration to advance the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) where 'Made in India' symbolizes innovation, resilience, and global excellence.
