CCISM to Host Third E-Weekend on AI
The Chambre Consulaire Interprofessionnelle de Saint-Martin (CCISM) is set to host its third annual E-Weekend on October 10 and 11, 2025. This year's event will focus on the pervasive theme of 'AI in all domains' ('L'IA dans tous les domaines'), with the primary objective of familiarizing and raising awareness among the island's professionals regarding the applications and implications of artificial intelligence.
The E-Weekend is specifically designed for professionals, young creators, and business leaders across Saint-Martin. Angèle Dormoy, President of the CCISM, emphasized the growing importance of AI, stating, 'We will arrive in a world where we will use AI as we use the calculator daily.'
Comprehensive Program for AI Exploration
The two-day event will feature a robust program, including approximately twenty scheduled appointments, comprising masterclasses and roundtable discussions.
Day One: Roundtable on AI as an Innovation Engine
The E-Weekend will commence on Friday, October 10, with a roundtable discussion titled 'AI, engine of innovation in all sectors' ('L'IA, moteur d'innovation dans tous les secteurs'). This session is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM at the Computech site in Galisbay. Five distinguished speakers are expected to contribute to the discussion:
- Jean Arnell, founder of Computech
- Diederik Kemmerling, founder of The Lab agency
- Anne Elghozi, president of Green Eye Sight Lab
- Dr. Huidi Tchero, president of R2C
- Estelle Sablon, school teacher
Day Two: Diverse Masterclasses Across Sectors
Saturday, October 11, will be dedicated to intensive learning, with 16 masterclasses scheduled between 9:00 AM and 8:45 PM. These sessions will cover a wide array of topics, ensuring that various professional sectors are represented. Laurina Algain-Gombas, project manager and digital referent, noted, 'We tried our best to bring together many sectors around artificial intelligence.' Key sectors to be addressed include:

- Tourism
- Cybersecurity
Registration and Organizational Details
The CCISM, an interprofessional consular chamber, serves as a local public institution representing the interests of approximately 7,000 to 9,000 businesses in Saint-Martin, encompassing commerce, industry, crafts, and agriculture. It plays a crucial role in supporting entrepreneurs through various stages of business development, offering advice, and promoting economic growth.
Registration for the E-Weekend 2025 is currently open on the CCISM website and will remain accessible until the day before the event. Pricing options range from 50 euros for Friday evening entry to a 400-euro 'Enterprise pack' for both days, with early bird rates available until September 30.
