Elon Musk recently delivered a controversial speech via video link at a rally organized by Tommy Robinson, where he urged participants to “either fight back or you die.” This statement has led to significant condemnation, with critics labeling it as "inappropriate" and "disgusting.” The tech billionaire also called for a “dissolution of parliament” and a “change of government” in the UK, further stirring outrage among political figures.
In response to Musk's remarks, Business Secretary Peter Kyle described the statements as “slightly incomprehensible” and entirely unsuitable for the context. Politicians advocating for democratic values have been urged to dissociate from Musk's comments, with a Labour source highlighting the need for clear denunciation against his "disgusting" statements. Ed Davey has taken the initiative to contact prominent political leaders, including Keir Starmer and Nigel Farage, encouraging them to denounce Musk's dangerous rhetoric and explore potential consequences for him.
The rally, branded “Unite the Kingdom,” attracted an estimated 110,000 to 150,000 participants, while an anti-racism counter-protest by Stand Up To Racism also took place, with around 5,000 attendees. The Metropolitan Police deployed over 1,000 officers to ensure safety and prevent violence, resulting in 24 arrests amid reports of serious injuries to 26 officers, highlighting the tensions and chaos at the events.

In a world where everyone is too afraid to speak up, I'm glad Musk is challenging the status quo!

It's alarming that someone like Musk can sway so many people with this kind of rhetoric. We need to hold him accountable.

How can anyone support someone who promotes such harmful ideas? Makes me question their judgment.

Musk needs to reconsider his role in society. Leaders should promote unity, not chaos.

No one should rally behind violence. Encouraging people to ‘fight back’ is reckless.
