In Patna, Union Minister Chirag Paswan, who also leads the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), addressed the media on Sunday about the aspirations of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to transform Bihar into a developed state. He accused the Opposition of trying to confuse citizens with discussions surrounding the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls and constitutional matters, emphasizing that such distractions ignore the developmental projects initiated after Prime Minister Modi's third term began.
Paswan noted that the Opposition's perspective has been detrimental to Bihar's progress, asserting that all NDA parties are united with a constructive mindset focused on advancing the state's development.
Additionally, Jitan Ram Manjhi, the founder of the Hindustani Awam Morcha, reiterated his request for 20 seats in the forthcoming assembly elections, emphasizing that it is a crucial moment for his party. He stated that while they have not set specific targets, securing a sufficient number of seats is essential for gaining recognition in the Vidhan Sabha, categorizing the situation as one of utmost importance for the party's future.
Manjhi had previously articulated this demand, expressing that the common populace and party members are advocating for enough electoral positions to uphold their dignity. Ahead of anticipated elections in October or November, the NDA, which includes BJP, JD(U), and LJP, faces competition from the INDIA bloc—composed of RJD, Congress, and leftist parties—that aims to depose Nitish Kumar's administration. The current political landscape of Bihar's 243-member assembly shows the NDA holding a majority with 131 members versus the INDIA Bloc's 111.

Why should the citizens trust the NDA when they have failed us for so long? Actions speak louder than words.

Bihar deserves leaders who listen to the people instead of framing the opposition as the enemy. It's time for accountability.
