Ex-businesswoman Zhou Jinghua Extradited to China After Over a Decade on the Run

Zhou Jinghua, who once ranked among China's most-wanted fugitives, has finally been extradited to her home country from Thailand, marking an important achievement for the collaborative efforts between law enforcement agencies in both nations. The National Commission of Supervision in China announced her return, stating that she is now the 63rd individual from the wanted list to be apprehended, specifically those who had taken refuge in other parts of Asia.

The commission emphasized that this development reflects China's steadfast resolve to protect the welfare of its citizens and to uphold legal integrity. Zhou, who is 55 years old, had previously served as the deputy general manager of an investment company in Yunnan province and has been implicated in corruption allegations. Her situation became particularly notable when Interpol issued a red notice against her in September 2012, and she remained elusive in Thailand for over a decade prior to her extradition.
