GloRilla, a rising star in the rap industry, was apprehended on felony drug charges just before her appearance at the WNBA all-star game. This incident unfolded when police reacted to a burglary alarm at her residence in Atlanta early Saturday morning, around 1:30 AM, while she was away performing in Indianapolis.
According to the Forsyth County sheriff’s office, three intruders managed to enter the property during GloRilla's absence but were interrupted by an unidentified individual who fired at them, prompting the burglars to flee without taking anything. During the subsequent investigation, deputies detected the smell of marijuana, leading them to call in a drug task force which discovered a considerable quantity of marijuana in a closet in the home.
GloRilla was charged with possession of marijuana and a controlled substance. She voluntarily turned herself in to the authorities on Tuesday and was released on a bond of $22,260. Sheriff Ron Freeman remarked on the seriousness of the crime against the homeowner while reaffirming the importance of upholding the law. As of now, the police have not located any of the three suspects involved in the burglary.
Hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, GloRilla made her mark in the music scene in 2022 with her hit single "FNF (Let’s Go)", earning a Grammy nomination. In 2024, she released her debut album "Glorious", which garnered further acclaim with two additional Grammy nominations for its lead track, "Yeah Glo!" The Guardian has reached out to her representatives for further comment regarding the situation.

It's her house, she's not the one robbing the place...

It's the burglar's fault. What's in her house is secondary to the fact someone broke in.

Guess even Grammy noms don't make you immune to this type of trouble.
