The Crime Branch of the Delhi Police has successfully dismantled an interstate drug syndicate by arresting three main suspects involved in the illegal trade of ganja. During an operation on Golf Course Road in Dwarka, officers intercepted two vehicles and recovered 411 kg of premium marijuana, identifying the arrestees as Lokesh Bhardwaj, Ashish Khasa, Moeen Khan, and Srikant Prasad, who were motivated by the lure of easy profits. Many of those detained had prior offenses related to drug trafficking, highlighting the persistent issue of drug-related crimes in the area. Ongoing investigations aim to uncover the entire network and identify additional participants in the syndicate.
In another crackdown on illegal activities, the Delhi Police Crime Branch raided a warehouse in Madanpur Daba, where they discovered a significant cache of counterfeit products, including fake Honda and TVS engine oil, along with associated packaging materials and logos. This raid resulted in the seizure of counterfeit items and the registration of a case under specific legal sections dealing with forgery and copyright violations. Additionally, a previous operation in Uttam Nagar targeted a godown storing illegal Chinese manja, leading to the arrest of the owner, Raju, and the apprehension of Areeb Khan, a supplier distributing this illegal product to local vendors. Legal actions are being pursued in both cases under relevant acts concerning public safety and environmental protection.

Another day, another round of police theatrics. They should focus on real crime, not just drugs and fake oils.

So much focus on marijuana when it's legal in so many places. Priorities, anyone?

How are we supposed to trust the police when they’re still dealing with their own issues?

Is this really a win? With the drug problem still rampant, what’s the point of these arrests?
