Max Verstappen could make history in Formula 1 if he wins Sunday's Italian Grand Prix. The Dutch world champion has won the last nine F1 races and a 10th consecutive victory would be the world record. Red Bull has won every race this season, and Verstappen took victory at Monza in 2022. Monza is located in the north of Italy, just off the outskirts of greater Milan, less than 20 kilometres from the centre of the famous city. The Autodromo Nazionale Monza is situated inside a thriving public park called the Parco di Monza Porta Vedano al Lambro. Monza is one of the most famous motorsport venues, and was one of the first purpose-built tracks in the world for racing. What do you need to know about the tracks? Monza is the fastest circuit on the Formula 1 calendar, with nearly 80 percent of the lap taken at full throttle. The 1.1 km start-finish straight is where cars reach their maximum speed before braking hard for the first chicane, which is one of the best overtaking spots for drivers. The chicane of turns eight, nine and 10 offers another good opportunity for drivers to pass, before a straight to the final corner. The final corner, called the Curva Alboreto, is a long hairpin crucial for any driver approaching the massive straight. The double right-handers of turns seven and eight named Lesmo are tight and ready to catch out a driver should they veer wide into the gravel. It will be available on both Foxtel and Kayo Sports, with the race starting at 11pm AEST. Verstappen added another victory to his 2022 season, taking his first win of the season at Monza. The Dutchman started the race seventh, but was up to third on the second lap. Daniel Ricciardo, who was having one of his best races of the season that year, retired with an engine failure. The late safety car brought out a late safety record, allowing Ferrari's Charles Leclerc to possibly have one last crack at Verstappen. The race finished behind the safety car, to the disappointment of the Ferrari-mad fans.

Verstappen's ability to consistently deliver strong performances and win races has earned him the respect and admiration of his fellow drivers and the Formula 1 community.

It is unfair to disregard the achievements of past Formula 1 champions and suggest that Verstappen's potential record would make him the greatest of all time.

Formula 1 is a highly competitive sport, and it is rare for any driver or team to maintain such a long winning streak.

The record for most consecutive wins is currently held by Michael Schumacher with 13 victories, so Verstappen still has a long way to go before making history.

Verstappen's success in recent races could lead to complacency or overconfidence, which could hinder his performance at the Italian Grand Prix.
